360 CQD

360° CQD is a premier training method. It is comprised of several sub-disciplines including firearms, mindset, tactical application and more all combining to become a complete framework.

360 CQD does not replace traditional techniques, it enhances them and adds a powerful tool to your toolbox that is unmatched at close range.

Why train in 360° CQD?
This method will increase your ability to repeatedly thrive in high-stakes, deadly force incidents. Specializing in situations involving surprise attacks, confined spaces, vehicle defense or close proximity to threats (30 feet and in).

whoever stops improving has stopped being good!

Jeff Johnsgaard’s instructor courses are unlike most others. You can't just take an instructor course, pass an exam after a few days, and then go back and be able to communicate effectively a new system of training. The “Instructor Track” takes many months and for some years to successfully complete.

Taking a 2 day course in 360 CQD does not make you an instructor. Many of the C.A.R System courses on the market are teaching a copy of a copy of a copy from the original. Further, they are utilizing completely non-optimal training and instructional methods that are completely contrary to how we best learn physical (motor learning) skills.

Jeff Johnsgaard has studied and instructs for various professional companies on the most current, evidence-based methods of instruction and has completely integrated this into his 360 CQD.

This is the reason why students are able to perform the techniques far better than with other teaching methods. Termed in the scientific research as Retention and Transfer, these two words are all that matter if your goal is to train for a rapidly unfolding, ambiguous, time compressed deadly force threat. Retention refers to your remembering the training for a time period after the class. Transfer refers to your ability to see a new situation, weeks or months later and immediately bring up the technique you trained.

It cannot be overstated that the way most training takes place in the firearms community, even most Law Enforcement and Military training do not keep with the growing body of science on how humans best learn physical skills in response to threats. We have found that following the evidence based perspective leads to far greater Retention and Transfer in our students. Jeff Johnsgaard has been a part of this approach for many years in the Law Enforcement and Special Forces communities with outstanding results. Learning to learn better is a secondary benefit of the 360 CQD approach.
